Today, Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee Mike Lee (R-UT) released the following statement in response to the U.S. Labor Department May 2020 jobs report:

"The American people have started our recovery. America is finally reopening with 2.5 million jobs recovered this past month. It appears we have turned a corner with unemployment falling, but at 13.3% we still have a long way to go. We should absolutely continue to reopen American businesses as safely, smartly, and swiftly as possible."
