Project 2025 Hurts Families and Rigs Our Economy for the Rich

Washington, D.C.—Project 2025 would hurt families across the country, undercut the U.S. economy, dismantle worker protections, and give handouts to wealthy corporations as detailed in a report by Joint Economic Committee Democrats.

Project 2025 would raise tax rates for lower and middle-income families while lowering them for top earners. JEC Democrats found that these changes would raise taxes by $2,300 on a family of four earning $90,000 per year. Meanwhile, millionaires would get a tax cut.

“Republicans’ Project 2025 is bad for America,” said Senator Martin Heinrich. “It would force Americans to pay more at the grocery store, strip workers of overtime pay, and raise taxes on working families. The ultra-wealthy would get hefty handout while families suffer. We can’t let that happen.”
