Democrats in Congress applauded the Fed’s decision to slash interest rates by half a percentage point, calling it a “big win for families.”
“Let’s be clear: today’s decision is a big win for families across the country,” Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), chairman of the Joint Economic Committee, said in a statement.
