Statement from JEC Vice Chair Klobuchar on February 2013 Employment Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Vice Chair of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC), released the following statement on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ February 2013 jobs report showing that 236,000 total nonfarm jobs were added and the unemployment rate fell to 7.7%:

“As this month’s employment report shows, we’ve come a long way from the job losses and economic turmoil of the recession and our economy continues to move in the right direction. But we still have more to do, and as Vice Chair of the Joint Economic Committee I will be working on policies that promote growth by boosting entrepreneurship, innovation and exporting.”
