Casey Statement on December 2012 Employment Report

WASHINGTON D.C. – U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), Vice Chairman designate of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC), released the following statement on the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ December 2012 jobs report showing that 155,000 total nonfarm jobs were added and the unemployment rate stood at 7.8  percent:

“The economy has recorded private sector job growth for 34 consecutive months. While the continued growth in December represents progress, Republicans and Democrats in Congress must work together in the coming months to help businesses create jobs and ensure American families and communities can continue to recover.”
